Yoga

Yoga brings balance and wellbeing to the mind, body and spirit through stretching and strengthening practices (asana). It also releases stress, anxiety and tension and increases energy levels through breathing practices (pranayama) and relaxation and meditation techniques. By connecting thought, breath and posture Yoga aligns the mental physical and emotional bodies. Yoga practice brings us back to the present moment to still the mind, expand the heart and return to self.

Learn how to deeply relax both your mind and body with Restorative Yoga. Props, like blocks, bolsters, blankets and straps are used so that you are supported in your pose comfortably. The practice is great for anyone looking to slow down, relieve stress, calm the excessive mind chatter, or for those recovering from injuries. Restorative Yoga is also beneficial for insomnia and promoting deep sleep. No yoga experience needed!

Yoga Play

Take your practice further and explore your limits with our NEW Yoga Play course! This is a dynamic and fast-paced flow of Ashtanga Yoga designed to help you work towards arm balances and inversions in a safe way. Regular attendance at Yoga classes or completion of the Beginner’s course is a minimum course prerequisite.

These classes will use traditional Ashtanga Sun Salutations A and B to get nice and warm and a series of preparatory postures to lead us naturally towards the exploration of handstands, headstands, arm balances, backbends and splits – with a different focus for our play each week. The pace and design of this class allows each student to spend more time working on a posture at their own level but also with the guidance of a teacher.
