There’s a common misconception that regular exercisers are over training when they get sick, injured or suffer discomfort. Whilst this may be true, it is often the case that these people are actually under recovered.
As fitness professionals, we rightly focus on effective strategies for training. However, this can be compromised with a lack of appropriate recovery. Therefore it would serve both ourselves and our clients to help program their recovery.
As a sleep deprived father, JP knew that he had to harness all the available recovery there was from other sources to help ensure continued enjoyment of movement and health, which meant researching the benefits of everything from massage to positive thinking.
Here he wants to share how what you can do to help yourselves and help others create nourishing recovery experiences which ward off the rigours of training schedules and the stresses of modern life.
