Spring Retreat – gain health, tone up and soar into summer! For many of us, warmer weather comes
with an increasing sense of dread – fear of having to unveil winter kilos can drive us to dust down the diet books
and start yet another cycle of deprivation and punishment.
And to what effect???
Research shows that diets do not work long term , not only do they promote guilt, failure and poor self-esteem, they actually make us better at storing fat – not the result we are hoping for! Enter a new approach – one that is positive, enjoyable, good for the body and above all, good for the soul. It starts by changing the goal posts – instead of weight loss, aiming for health gain; weight loss being the by-product of health gain!
After the success of the last Wellness Retreat, YMCA is excited to announce another such weekend, with a focus on health gains and increased well-being.
Based on the successful Appetite for Life model, we are offering:
> interactive sessions backed up by delicious energizing food
> more movement with yoga, pilates and HIIT sessions
> hands on adventure, if you want to be tested and challenged on high ropes, kayaking or coasteering (weather dependent)
As well as:
> another amazing inspirational speaker
> optional therapeutic massage with a qualified massage therapist (additional cost)
This all inclusive retreat includes two nights accommodation in our lodge style accommodation – Wainui Heights. All catering is included. The menu has again been designed by well respected Pegasus Health nutritionist Bronwen King.
