Childcare Staff

YMCA Bishopdale Childcare Centre

A  Permanent full time (40 hours) teaching position has  become available in our community based childcare centre.  All applicants must hold  a minimum of Dip Tch (in ECE) and be provisionally or fully registered.  We offer low staff to child ratios, regular one on one teacher registration support, PMP gymnastics programme for the children, regular excursions into the community, generous non-contact times and a fantastic team environment and support.  The position is in the Pre-school part of the Centre which consists of 30 two - five year olds.

Wainui Park 

Wainui Park has opportunities for volunteer staff to work as instructors at Wainui Park. This involves several months, commencing with intensive training and then working with mainly school groups in outdoor instruction. Holiday Programme Volunteers

Our Youth & Outdoors staff is looking for volunteers to help with school holiday programmes. We provide the training, excitement and fun. You need to be reponsible, reliable and caring. It's a great chance to gain work experience working with kids and also to meet other volunteers. Phone Rebecca Low on 9632822.

Housekeepers

We require part time housekeepers for our busy inner city hostel. Must be available for an 8am start. Hours vary dependent on level of business.  Experience preferred but not essential. Please telephone Jude or Kath on 3650502.

 

Friday Club Volunteers

Friday Club is a Social group for adults with an intellectual disability, run on a Friday night from 4 - 6pm.  We often go out to play mini golf, movies, play sport etc. and always need extra staff to volunteer to help out.  It's a great way to get work experience working with people with disabilities and also a chance to do some valuable community service.

Casual Outdoor Instructors

The Youth and Outdoors Department run a variety of outdoor activities from kayaking, rockclimbing and team building games to name but a few.  We are always looking for casual instructing staff to work.  Some experience in the Outdoor industry is required.  We often have work for SPA or NZIOA award holders, especially Outdoor Rock Climbing work.  If your interested please call Ginny Bowden on 9632825.
