Clip ‘n Climb is the most exciting new concept in indoor climbing to have emerged in the past decade. It is 100% pure Kiwi and was developed here in Christchurch.
Clip ‘n Climb is incredibly popular with families, friends, schools, youth groups, sports teams, works socials and corporates alike – there is no minimum or maximum age.
In all there are 38 different climbs for you to enjoy. We have automatic belay devices on every climb, just clip them onto your harness and away you go. When you are finished just let go and the device will gently lower you back down to the ground – it’s as simple as that!
All Clip ‘n Climb sessions start ‘on the hour’ and include a 15 minute period for getting on harnesses and listening to a safety briefing.
This is followed by 60 minutes of full on climbing.
For those thrill seekers make sure you also try out the Vertical Drop and the Leap of Faith!
Make sure your group wear comfortable loose clothing and closed toe shoes – sandals and jandals are not suitable for climbing.
Bookings are always essential – phone 377 3000!

Many young people find that they really enjoy climbing and would like to learn some good techniques.
Good news, we have an after school term programme at Clip ‘n Climb called Rock Stars, which runs on a Wednesday (4pm-5pm) for children aged 6-9 years and helps develop their climbing really quickly.
As their skills develop, they can progress onto our large climbing wall – click here to check out all of our climbing courses including Rock Stars.
Come and join our interactive climbing session with toys and games at Clip ‘n Climb, just for preschoolers!
Held every Thursday morning in term time between 12pm-1pm, there is no need to book just come along (unless you are bringing a large group).
$5 per child, adults supervise for free.
