YMCA Christchurch Recreation Club for Adults with Disabilities
The Thursday Club is a social get-together for intellectually and physically disabled adults which runs every week during the school term, with all kinds of activities such as swimming, arts and crafts, bowling, movies and indoor climbing. We also go on field trips to WillowBank and Spencer Park or the beach.
The Thursday Club programme runs during the school term for 8 weeks, from 4pm to 6pm on Thursdays.
The goal of Y Thursday is to introduce participants to some fun and creative challenges in a safe and friendly environment. Participants will have the opportunity to learn some new skills and gain confidence. We also offer some low key activities to cater to individual needs.
The club has been running for a number of years and has enjoyed a solid base of members throughout this time. We have a number of spaces available this year and would love to have some new members on board!
Registration
The cost for a term membership is $80. Camps are an extra cost. Call Ginny on 9632825 or email adminyo@ymcachch.org.nz to ask for the current brochure with registration form.
Numbers for the Thursday Club are limited, so get in quick and have the time of your life at the YMCA!
