Medium-Long Term Residential Accommodation - Tertiary Students

For students under 25 the YMCA offers comfortable, affordable accommodation (at special rates) in our warm and friendly hostel at 12 Hereford Street, the main block attached to reception and the Health & Fitness Centre.

Small Student single - $231.00 per week
Large Student single - $245.00 per week
Twin Share - $189.00 per person per week
Williams House single - $189 per week (male only).

Rates include Continental breakfast and dinner, 7 days per week.

Short - Long Term Accommodation - Single Men

Williams House is a separate building on the YMCA Hereford Street Site which has been part of the Christchurch YMCA for many decades. It currently accommodates men who enjoy living in the city centre, being part of the YMCA, and the friendly camaraderie that living in a hostel provides.

All rooms are single with shared bathrooms and kitchen. Self catering is an option or you can pay an extra $120.00 per week to eat in the YMCA dining hall.

Williams House is an old building with spirit! Accommodation rates reflect the age and condition of the building. This facility is serviced by YMCA housekeeping staff and linen is changed weekly as part of the rate.

Williams House single - $94.50 (minimum 2 week period, meals not included).

Bond

Students Bond - A $300.00 bond is required for student accommodation in either facility. To be eligible for these rates you must stay for at least 20 weeks, (or as otherwise negotiated with Management) pay 4 weeks in advance and keep the account in credit.

Williams House Bond - $50 per room and $20 key tag. To be eligible for these rates you must stay for at least 2 weeks, (or as otherwise negotiated with Management) pay 2 weeks on arrival in advance and keep the account in credit.

Bond and key tag money refundable on departure subject to room being left tidy.
