Wainui Park in Akaroa Harbour is purpose built for groups of people, especially schools, to come and stay and enjoy the environment, and provide your school with the ultimate outdoor experience!

Our staff know how to provide effective programmes for schools, and we have two Programme Packages available to choose from, depending on your school’s budget and teacher involvement leading activities.

You can also discuss with us what your school wants to achieve in regards to theme – team building, leadership or adventure, and we can develop your programme with this in mind.

Programme Packages

Our programme packages are structured to ensure your school can best meet it’s learning outcomes, in the most time effective way.

Below you will see details for our Huia and Moa programmes, based on a three day camp. We can adjust both of these programmes to suit the needs of your school by adding extra days. Make sure you complete the Enquiry Form to get more information about how the best camp can be tailored for your school.

Huia

from $70 per person for a 3 day camp
(does not include accommodation or catering)

This is our classic 3 day package which is a mix of self-led and instructor-led time slots!

Arrive, get settled into the accommodation, have lunch and be welcomed in by your own dedicated staffer. Before starting the instructor-led activities, there will be time set aside for the instructor to meet their group, get to know one another and set up the week with a group contract.

Programme Sessions

Choose three x 1.5 hour instructor-led sessions, OR one x 3 hour + one x 1.5 hour instructor-led activities.

Select three self-led activity time slots – you can bring your own plan or choose from our list of self-led session plans and we will provide resources for you!

This package also includes an all group game to finish camp on the last day such as a Wide Game or a Challenge Event.

For those looking for a camp fully facilitatedby our instructors, try the Moa package which is jam packed with adventure!

Arrive, get settled into the accommodation, have lunch and be welcomed in by your dedicated staffer. Before starting the instructor-led activities, there will be time set aside for the instructor to meet their group, get to know one another and set up the week with a group contract.

Programme Sessions

Choose a mix of 1.5 hour and 3 hour instructor-led sessions!
(six x 1.5 hour slots OR three x 3 hour slots OR a mix).

This package also includes an all group game to finish camp on the last day such as a Wide Game or a Challenge Event.
